Windows application issue with Windows 7

    Hello,

Firstly, if this is not the appropriate place to post this question I apologize, but, I am tired of Google search.. it's been 2 days now.

    Here is my scenario:

I have a desktop appication (C# Windows application). It syncs data b/w sql server databases with another server. This works fine on Windows XP SP3 machine.

However, when I install the same on Windows 7 professional 32 bit m/c, after Sync completes succesfully, the application closes.

The exception in the event viewer is - Thread exception:
Invoke or BeginInvoke cannot be called on a control until the window handle has been created.

The application has all the prerequisites installed and the required IIS roles/settings, like compatipility. I am unsure as to why it refuses to work only on Widows 7 OS. I have tried to run it in compatibility mode with Windows XP SP3, with the same resultant exception.

Please help.. I do not know what is the setting that needs to change on Windows 7 OS which will resolve this.

Thank you very much for your help, in advance.

    Hi logicearth,
    Thanks for the reply.
As per the suggestions in the link you've provided - I've tried it by rt.click and 'run as Administrator', but, with no success.
The exception I'm getting is not when I try to install SQL server, so the other options on that link doesn't seem to apply. Is there any other option that I can try for a C# windows application which runs a web service (sync service) to sync data to avoid the thread exception?
