What causes I/O Errors when trying to Burn?

    Friends,

I have recently (within the last 7-10 days) been encountering intermittent problems when burning DVD files.

Prior to this, I had no issues when using IMGBurn or Nero (as I have both installed on my system).

Now, only 1 out of every 3-5 attempts is successful. All error messages refer to I/O issues.

    Any ideas or pointers?

It's my understanding that I/O means input output, so this would imply that something is wrong with your dvd drive or dvds :/
it could just be a bad batch of dvds though. i bought 50 a few years back and none of them worked, made by Verbatim.

    I see.
I'll try a different brand and see how I get on, then.

    Cheers
