StalkeR, that link you provided takes you to the main download page (2.21 I think?)

The beta can be got from here: µTorrent 3.0 (32-bit) beta 25252 (Page 1) / Announcements / µTorrent Community Forums

Can't remember whether you have to be a member or not, I signed up years ago.

Hello Martin,I just updated the first post. That link was to the official page to uTorrent. Now you can download the beta for free. :)

Yeah I saw that, but I don't like linking direct to download links Forum seemed to be the best way to go. Not that it really matters either way.

They need to rename µtorrent now - there's nothing micro about this bloated client any more

I don't know, its still very lightweight. 2.2.1 on my machine, (not 2.12 as I said earlier) only uses 5Mb of RAM, with 2 big torrents loaded into it (don't know if that makes a difference)

Of course, I don't use the "Apps" because they are a bit pointless IMO, so that may push it up a little, but I would call 5Mb Micro

It's not so much the resource usage, but the extra rubbish they are adding to it. It's heading down the same path as Azureus did before it became that ridiculous POS that is Vuze.

I still use 1.8.2, one of the last 'non-throttling, ISP unfriendly builds'.

I assume your talking about uTP? My experience with that is actually rather pleasant. I thought it would result in lower speeds, due to the throttling, but actually I find my speeds are consistantly higher.

My ISP use a traffic shaping system which only throttles you if the bandwidth becomes saturated, I find that uTorrent actually backs it off before they have to, and my speeds are overall quicker. Of course uTP can also be turned off.

Don't get me wrong, I hear what you're saying, I agree with you up to a point, but IMO it is still the best torrent client out there.

Still not sure why the circle logo reverts to the square one in the Taskbar Status Menu on the 2.2.1 builds and the 3.0 builds
