Adobe flash and windows live messenger????

Hi. i have a problem with windows messenger and adobe flash player. When i try to play a wink it say to update my adobe flash player. i have the new version of flash and windows live 2011. i uninstalled the flash and installed it again and i uninstalled msn and installed it again. i don't understand what's wrong :/ i installed windows7 2days ago and it's being doing that someone knows why??? thanks

Only thing I can think of here is that there are actually 2 versions of Flash, one for IE and one for "alternate" browsers like Chrome or Firefox. If you're updating/installing flash player for one of these alternate browsers, you might actually need to install the IE flash player in addition. As you're using a Microsoft product(Live), I can only assume it will want IE's flash and not the alternate.

I have windows live mail 2010 and wanted to upgrade to windows live mail 2011 but i dont want to have to install windows live messenger 2011 and would like to keep windows live messenger 2009.. Is there a way i can have windows live mail 2011 along with windows live messenger 2009 (14.0.8117) ?

When i run windows live messenger, it comes up with two tabs, one displaying my name and status and another for the main window. I was just wondering if it was possible to get rid of the first tab so that there is only one. Cheers
