Is it OK run lot of portable apps in my PC? What are the bad side of portable apps?

Portable apps are great, I don't know of any bad sides.

Most people seem to think that they have many pros and hardly any cons...but you have to decide for yourself in the end
If you have multiple users on the machine it can duplicate space as the app is copied to the user's disk space. For small apps like hotkey programs it shouldn't matter. Most are less than a MB. Another disadvantage may be lack of Explorer integration or file type association. That's why many USB Key portable app setups have a launcher program to substitute for file type association.
What I found a big plus for portable apps is I copy them to a folder under C:\Utils. If I do a Custom Install and get the dreaded Windows.old folder, the custom install does not round up the stuff under C:\Utils. I can make a shortcut and use those apps right away.
