    Yahoo Messenger

Just recently I've encountered the problem where I cannot see the text that I type in Yahoo IM and as wellas that it frequently closes down before I've had a chance to do anything saying that an error is preventing the program from working properly. I'm pretty dense when it comes to stuff like this and a quick search of the forum before posting found this:

This can solve "can't see text in yahoo messenger"
Start -> run -> regedit -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion ->Internet Settings -> Zones then In zones part you must have 0,1,2,3,4 ,If not delete other ones(Don't delete 0,1,2,3,4)
Note:First Make a backup from registery If any problem happend you can use it for restore registery(No problem happend for me)

However, none of it means anything to me whatsoever - I have no idea where to begin - please can someone help?

    I'm a rater pragmatic guy (if that's even a word )
So before I would advise you to meddle with the registry I'd say there are so many good multi-IM clients out there and most of them can handle/connect to yahoo.
    So try Pidgin portable
    or Miranda portable
and if they have the same problem, it's a problem on your side, if they work it's with Yahoo. (I've chosen portable programs so you don't need to install anything...just unzip and start...no uninstall either...just delete the folder

    Welcome sparkinthedark

I would uninstall the old Yahoo Messenger, then download a new copy of the latest version & install it.

    Text not showing

Were you ever able to fix this problem with your yahoo messenger by chance, because I am having the same problem, and uninstalling it and reinstalling the newest version does not fix the problem whatsoever. Please help if you can!

    Thanks!
