I am pretty sure its doing something wrong. Would you like to try Wiping the Hard Drive clean and then, again, installing Windows from the CD?
We don't have much say on what he downloads, as it is breaking the rules of this forum to post a link to the right iso for Windows 7.
Hi guys,
i'm having the same issue with installers not working after download for a fresh install of Windows 7
installers i've had issues with (all downloaded from manufacturer's website);
- Kapersky 2011 internet security
- Adobe Reader X
- Rhino V4 Service Release 9
- Rino V5 WIP
- Itunes
I was able to install Adobe Reader X after reading this post Adobe Forums: Error 13042 while trying to install
But have not had any luck with any of the others yet
Have applied all available updates from Microsoft but still no go. I also suspect its my Win7 build that is to blame and thinking I need to wipe this install and try again with a different iso.
Any suggestions?
@Gabzi Try downloading with another computer/browser, and put it on your computer through USB, see if that helps.
I have managed to reinstall Windows. A new clean version. I reinstalled the drivers. Still have the issue with corrupt installation files.
It's strange though as some installers seem to rum fine. So far on this machine I have successfully installed 7-Zip, Virtual CloneDrive and Memtest86. I cannot install Firefox, Chrome and AVG.
I'm one step away from sending the machine back under warranty as I'm guessing if a fresh install hasn't solved it then it must be hardware failing...
Can any of the drivers I have installed cause this?
Two things.
1. Send me a PM of the link of where you got the Windows 7 .iso.
2. Did you get the drivers from your computer manufacturers website?
