How to remove iPhone system folder from Windows Explorer?

    Hi,

Does anybody know how to remove iPhone system folder icon from Windows Explorer?

Look at attachment (2.jpg). When I tried to right-click the icon, that’s the only thing I got. No properties, no delete, nothing…

When I tried to click properties from the top of the Windows Explorer, I got a warning box shown in attachment (1.jpg).

I tried to boot to safe mode, it was still the same… I got no option to remove it.

I tried to uncheck all Apple services and boot the PC, still not solve the problem.

I can’t remove it because I couldn’t find the folder location. I could delete the folder with many ways (command prompt, etc.) if I could just find its location.

I’m not a fan of Apple. So, I don’t like to see Apple folder on my Windows Explorer. It happened when I connect my friend’s iPod to my PC just to see his collection on iTunes. It never happened with my iPod. That system folder never showed up when I connect my iPod.

    Can somebody help me??

    Greg

Its on the iPhone itself? Remove the device from device manager...maybe?
    Don't know I have a Zune.

As mentioned by logicearth you could try and delete the device in Device Manager if it's still showing there.

Booting into Safe Mode and then trying may help.

Other than that, you could do a search in the system registry and delete any reference to iPhone (make sure you backup the registry before you start).

    Sorry all, my bad...

It is from a 3rd-party software that I installed to export any files from iPod to PC. When I uninstalled the software, the iPhone System Folder is gone.

Sorry again for being such of a problem for two of you, logicearth and seavixen32.

FYI, it doesn't show in the device manager either on a normal boot nor in a safe mode boot. It doesn't work with SFC.exe either (i thought it was a corrupt system file). I don't have any guts to edit my registry
Luckily I found out that it was from the 3rd-party software.

Sorry again, and thanks a lot for all the answers.
