    Media Toolbar

One neat feature of Vista was the media toolbar where if you minimised WMP it would be docked to the toolbar. I cant see the toolbar listed in Win7 :/

No it's not there but you still have a mini player of sorts on the icon itself when hover over the taskbar icon you get a window that pops up with whats playing and previous, next and play functions.

That's it, that's what I was talking about, that's good enough and has the same features as your old one.

Not really - cause I could have visualizations going and click on the top right corner of the taskbar player and it would show a mini window with the visualizations scaled down to that window - and every time the track changed it would do a slider with new track name and artist automatically....
