Boot safemode with networking (tap f8 while booting)
Then download install, update, and run this.
Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a free download that removes viruses and malware from your computer.

It's going to have to be done in safe mode from the sound of it.

huh I've never come across anything MBAM couldn't clear up in safemode.

These are just registry entries, I think mostly related to live essentials...

Download and run combofix but make sure you have the correct version for your OS. Some of the latest FakeAlerts strains are not cured nor even seen by Malwarebytes or Security Essentials.

The items are probably obsolete software entries and the others are unused file extensions. Deleting those entries will not improve the performance of your computer one bit.

It would seem to just be a bug, those entries are blank but probably still listed as protected because they were attached to the live essentials package.

You're telling me combofix is available for 7 now? I haven't used it in years, ever since I had a bad rootkit attack my old XP machine. Wow, good to know, just in case!

Yes it is mate but did not fix my problems. I don't know what's happening here i selected instant email notification and i aint getting notified. Saying that, yahoo is not alerting me about any e-mails so it must be them.
