    I know Microsoft Office 2007 and Google Wave have grammar correction features. Online there is Grammarly

    I use Microsoft Office 2010 and I think it's great.
    Microsoft Office - Office.com

    I also hear that WhiteSmoke and Ginger are both good. Also browse through alternativeto.com. It'll have some good alternative spell/grammar checkers.

    Microsoft Office 2010, but of course it's not free.

    Free online grammar checker

    Most of the third-party ones offer a free trial, but then want you to buy the software, so whether you find any truly free grammar checkers is a moot point.
