i installed CS4 and when I tried to run Photoshop, Illustrator, and others I get "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application". Other programs say other things, but they basically mean the same thing...any ideas?

I had no problems with CS4 Design Premium. Bridge, PS 64-bit, Dreamweaver, Fireworks worked fine. Didn't do much with Flash Pro but app ran fine. Also no probs with Lightroom 2.4 64-bit.

    Hello all,

When I insert the DVD for CS4 Master Collection....I click Setup.exe, Windows 7 just shows for a brief moment that something is happening (the o-ring beside the cursor) and then nothing happens. I tried the following:

    set myself as administrator
    turned off UAC
used compatibility modes of all XP and Vista versions
Installed the DVD onto the hard drive itself and executed the setup.exe from there

Nothing happened. Still cannot install CS4 on Windows 7. I did this wonderfully on Windows XP but not on this Windows. My Windows 7 is RC Build 7100

I need this working so I really would appreciate a detailed response. thanks!!!!!
Try running it in Vista SP2 compatibility mode. If that doesn't work, try XP SP3.

He said "better" not "doesn't work". Hence my question. I uninstalled the nVidia driver and let Windows install its own driver and it works. Now I will say that it doesn't work with the official downloaded nVidia drivers.
nVidia Drivers from nVidia and CS4 working flawlessly without any tweaking for me.
