Converting image files to Lbl (label images)

    Hello,

I've been looking all over the place/net for some info on how to convert image files to this format .lbl so as to open and print! lbl is a format used by software such as Create-a-Label / DesignerPro (Zebra) /Nice Label etc.....

I've got files in Tiff and PDF (images) and would like to print them into labels using ZebraPro software + Zebra printer.

I ask myself: is this such a scarce format or CLOSED circle altogether!?

    Thanks,

    Paul

Hi Paul and welcome to W7 Forums

Most graphics formats (including TIFF) are supported by ZebraPro (according to the manual page 120). PDF images aren't supported directly, but you can always use the Snipping Tool to capture and save these in a suitable format (PNG, for example).

You're welcome. I've not used this program, so please let us know if my suggestion helped.

It's nice to know I'm not alone! We use all three of those label printing apps at work and Dwarf has pointed you in the right direction. You should be able to create a blank label of the appropriate size in Zebra Designer Pro and insert the .tiff file, then adjust the size of the image on the label as needed. As for the .pdf's, you can use something like Adobe Illustrator to export them as .tiff's, or try an online conversion service like this one: Convert PDF to JPG, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, GIF, BMP Online – pdf-img.com

We embed .jpg's, .wmf's and a few other image file types for company logo's, etc.

As an aside, and to share my pain: We have a few hundred labels created in the old 16 bit Create-A-Label application used on an old Win 95 pc. The PC is, of course, dying, and no one here can find the old Create-A-Label floppy disks and software product key.

Create-A-Label has been replaced in the market by the Zebra products, which, of course, won't read the old Create-A-Label files. I get to re-create all the labels again in Zebra Designer Pro.

    Oh well, it's job security...

    Create-a-Label...

A surprise to find someone like me with all these old label designs on Create-a-Label. I've spent so much time looking around on how to transfer/convert them to be accepted by ZebraDesigner. Now i know!

For now though i'll do with converting from PDF to tiff then to ZebraDesigner.

    Thanking you WiFi Ed.
