JavaRa (freeware) removes old and redundant versions of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE), but your new Java installation may have been corrupted and may not be working correctly on your system. The Java (Sun) website offers a lot of help and suggestions. Here are some links that you might explore to see if the Java download is the problem:

To find out if Java is working on your system visit: Test your Java Virtual Machine (JVM), and then, go to the Java website for the most recent Java downloads.

To check which version of Java you have: Verify Java Version
    Also see: Java Help

There are several different Java apps, and you may not have downloaded the correct one for your system (and for your needs). One common problem is that if you use 32-bit and 64-bit browsers interchangeably, you will need to install both 32-bit and 64-bit Java in order to have the Java plug-in for both browsers.

Here's a link to the Java downloads page: Java Downloads for All Operating Systems

After installing Java, restart your browser and verify Java has been installed correctly. You can verify that it has been installed correctly by clicking

    HI,

    Thanks for your response,

I have now got the latest version of Java installed and working but when I run the Javara program it still reports that there are extension files for Firefox I have checked the in registry and program files there is no reference of Firefox.

Any ideas why this program is displaying this error?
    Thanks

No idea b/c I'm an IE9 user, but why don't you uninstall your FireFox and reinstall it? That may solve the problem, and if not, no harm done.

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

I ran the program when I didn't have Firefox installed and it still flagged up these extension files, so decided to install Firefox and have a look for the files but couldn't find them. I think it must just me an issue with the program miss reporting the registry entries
