    Jade and Windows 7

    Hi.
Our company uses Jade Property Suite to manage certain aspects of our business. Most of our PCs run Windows XP as the OS. We recently acquired 2 new PCs with Windows 7. The first time I loaded Jade on one of the Windows 7 PCs, the software kept reverting from SA Rand currency to US Dollar currency, although the Windows setting was SA Rand currency. The problem eventually came right by itself!
When I loaded Jade on the second PC with Windows 7, not only did the currency problem persist, but an additional issue came up: The date fields in Jade kept returning a 2002 date irrespective of the date entered.
The fact that the currency issue came right by itself on the one Windows 7 PC, but persisted on the other, indicates that this is likely a Windows 7 issue rather than a Jade software issue. I haven’t been able to get a response from the Jade forum (JadeTools :: Index).
Can anybody give some insight into this problem?

More likely it is a Jade issue. Jade may need to be run in "compatibility mode". Older legacy apps tend to need that because they arent fullly win 7 aware (they cant be if jade was made llong before win 7).

To run in compatibility mode un-install jade, then re-install but first right click the installer >property>compatibility>check xp- sp3

    Good luck

If you cannot get the Jade program working under compatibility mode, depending on your Windows 7 OS, if you have Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise, you can use XP Mode (Virtual Machine) and run the Jade software in it.
