Windows Installer Will not install programs.

    Hmmm....I just had a thought, download MalwareBytes and Super AntiSpyware (links are in my sig) update definitions and do full scans. Just maybe there is an infection of some kind your security missed. These two apps will often find and clean what other security suites miss.

    Well, I would not say this issue is resolved but I was able to borrow a friends Windows 7 Disk to reformat. As for anyone else who receives this issue, either use a system restore or reformat.

    Glad you got it sorted, but actually the best plan would be to have system images created ahead of time to restore to in the event of such a problem. Using either windows built in imaging capability, or using a free or paid 3rd party software such as Macrium Reflect (free) or Acronis True Image (paid, or free older versions for hard drives made by Seagate and Maxtor, or Western Digital). A complete system image allows you to restore to the known good working state the system was in before the problems began. Always best to save images to a seperate hard drive, either internal or external. A Guy
