Paint Shop Pro 7 - JPG image problems

    Good morning,

I got a new computer in January and while working with JPG images (resizing, editing, etc... both color and black and white), all of a sudden when I save them as a JPG, it converts to 264 colors and images are worthless.

If I save them as a PNG image, it takes but when I check on them in Photoshop, they are still JPG images.

I am running windows 7 on a Compaq and I've been using PSP for 5 years or so.

My question is, is PSP 7 compatible with Windows 7?

Thanking you for your help in advance,

    Fred

    Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

Paint Shop Pro is incompatible with Windows 7 64-Bit and Microsoft recommend upgrading to a later version, probably PSP X.

Don't forget, PSP was originally created as 16-bit software for Windows 3.1, but you could use Virtual PC and XP mode to run PSP7 if you don't want to upgrade it.

Alternatively, you could use something like GIMP, which is open source source and free.
