Which program do I open picasa 3.8 in?

I tried to download picasa 3.8 . No problem. But then the computer says "which program do you want to use to open the file" and there is only listed "internet explorer" or I can search for other programs but which should I use? So the download doesnīt open automatically. There is a problem. Actually I canīt open any programs only internet explorer because I found a way around that. I donīt know wht happened.

Hello Bianca, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Did you download it's picasa38-setup.exe file from the link below and try to run it?

Picasa 3: Free download from Google

It sounds like your .exe file extension associations may have gotten messed up somehow. You could download and merge the .exe and .lnk (LNK) options in the tutorial below to restore their default associations to hopefully fix this and allow you to install Picasa afterwards. :)

Default File Type Associations - Restore

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Sound like you have not downloaded an executable file.

Where did you download it from?

Not sure what country you are from, but here is the official download for the UK - Picasa 3: Free download from Google

Drat. beaten to it by Brink lol:)

I canīt open anything. I tried all the links you wrote. I canīt make use of any of them because the files wonīt open. It just says "which program do yo want to open the file with" and then it keeps doing that everytime I press on a program.

    Hello Paul,

Restoring the default associations for the exe file extension did the trick. :)
