    Quickbooks 2007


    Any one using QB 07?

    I had it setup and working with the server on an XP machine. Once I moved to Windows 7 as the server, I can't log into the company file if the server machine is also logged in. XP machine can log in no problem, but not W7 machine.

    When the server was XP, either W7 or XP users could open the company file.
    When the server is on W7, you can log in with W7 users as long as the server computer isn't logged in.
    When the server is on W7, XP can log in whether or not the server is computer is logged in.

    The error I'm getting is -6147, 0. I researched the error and tried all the solutions I came across but nothing has proven to work.

    Any insights? I took ownership of the qbw file and nothing.

    Switch to multiuser mode and assign users with their own passwords.
