I have Windows 7 64 bit. The workaround you describe by adding an HP Deskjet 990c to your computer doesn't work because there is no 990C listed in the printer list when you try to add a printer. Is there something I'm missing? How do I add a printer when it is not listed in the "Add a Printer" dialog box and there is no driver on the HP site?

MS Money has been discontinued. Guess you will have to find another product. and once again...My Epson CX9400fax works perfectly with Win7 x64 and Quicken 2008 (This includes printing...I checked).
    Bobtran:
Thanks for the heads up on MS Money.

As for switching to Epson I used them for years but they truly are the poster child for "disposable appliances". I never had one that lasted more than a year and they were always undependable. My HP works great for every other application and since Quicken represents such a minuscule portion of my print usage I'll stick with HP.

By the way, I tried running Quicken in both XP and Vista compatibility mode and it was actually worse - wouldn't even accept printing to Quicken PDF.
I think you might be overstating the "disposable appliances" just a bit...I have been using my Epson for a few years now and it still works just fine without issues. The only "Disposable Appliances" that I have come across are from Lexmark. I do however get that you prefer HP (this is a personal preference). I see that some other posters on this thread have offered a work-around for your issue and I hope it solves your problem.

    Deskjet 990c Workaround

Here's the Deskjet 990c link. I'm surprised it's not on your HP list.

I'm new to this forum - also, not very techy. I have an HP Officejet 5610 - I can test print and print from Notepad, but I can't screen print or print from any other program. I also have Quicken 2008. When I send a doc to print - the Hp print carriage jogs, but nothing is printed. The printer icon also appears, but 0 documents are pending.

Any suggestions out there? Oh I just upgraded to a new computer running Window 7 64-bit. I was previously Windows XP

I would really appreciate it. I tried tech support- by they are worthless- keep sending me "fixes" that have nothing to do with my problem (from a script I suppose). If you could install Quicken, it would help define the problem: Quicken, HP, or Windows 7 - 64 bit.

You are right, HP is worthless! I have an HP Photosmart C6180 which was running on Vista and I recently upgraded to Windows 7. Of course when I upgraded I had to reconfigure my computer to print to my printer so I went to HP's site to download the patch which specificallly mentioned Vista to Windows upgrade and that didn't work. Then I saw that they had the full download for my printer which they said was "compatible" with my Windows 7 64bit BUT during the download, it kept timing out. I will NEVER purchase an HP printer again. Very poor customer support and questionable customer service ethics.

Check the link in my previous post. Don't know why the link is not appearing.

Installed the hp 990c printer. Still can't print from Quicken 2007 on windows 7 64 bit. got a notice the other day that I have to upgrade to quicken 2010 as they are dropping support for downloads from Quicken 2007 in April.

Anyone using that version of Quicken and can tell us if it prints on Windows 7 64 bit?

I have Quicken 2010 Starter Edition installed. My printer is HP PHotosmart D7460 wireless printer. OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Have the 64 bit driver for Windows 7 downloaded from HP for this printer installed. Quicken recognized this printer, no problem, and I am able to print checks and reports. Windows 7, my applications and this printer have had no problems.
    Hope this helps.

Don't forget you have to redirect the 990c to your regular printer. I trust that the new Q2010 will print easily. However, the only reason to upgrade is if you are downloading transactions from your bank. Otherwise if you get the prionter going, there is no need to upgrade. I just ordered my upgrade reluctantly. I have been told at the user interface is entirely different... Not happy about that.

Anyone running 64-bit- and has a HP printer using Quicken?? Does printing work for you?
I'm running Quicken 2009 on 64-bit Win 7 Ultimate. Prints fine to both a USB connected HP P1215 or a CP2025DN on the network.

The only problem is that I run out of money before I run out of bills.
