No. My husband has the other Dell computer with his own Messenger ID & password.

Tell him to use the sign in as another user, then use the forget me option. Its so long since I used messenger, my wording may be inaccurate but thats roughly what to do.

I'm not sure I understand what good that will do. I purchased my Dell XPS 8100 in May 2010. As soon as I upgraded to the new Live Messenger 2011, the issue started. Up until the last few weeks, my husband had been using an older Dell computer. It also had been upgraded to the Live Windows 2011 version. His computer was running Windows Vista home premium. He was having no problems with the automatic sign in. It was not until the purchase of the new Dell XPS 8300 a few weeks ago that the issue started.....that computer runs Windows 7 home premium just like mine. As I said in the first place. The isssue seems to only be with Windows 7 and Live Messenger 2011.

If you go to Program and features a repair can be done for WLE.

I've tried repair. I've tried uninstall and reinstall. Nothing has helped so far.
