Sticky notes - how to 'keep on top'

I use the button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen to minimise all open windows and show the desktop. However, this also minimises my sticky notes and I have to remember to open them again. I hoped there was a way to keep them on the desktop?

I searched on the microsoft site which tells me to locate stick notes within programs (enter in search box) 'tap' on sticky notes and then use Tools then Options menu to go to 'keep on top', but I can't find either Tools or Options menu and it's driving me mad!

I would be very grateful of any help please

As far as I know their is no way of doing that unless some one has wrote a add in program to the registry. Mine always goes to Taskbar.

I have an attribute program that can set the active window to "stay on top" but it doesn't keep it from being minimized. My solution would be, if you use the TaskBar button thingie to minimize all, click it again to maximize all.

edit: anyway you may find my freeware utility useful for Stay on Top. It's called Topmost Toggle. It's free for you to use at your own risk. You can download here:

Additionally it can toggle the attribute that controls whether the window shows in the AltTab List.

I tried it with StickyNotes but it does not prevent it from being minimized.
I don't think there's a good way to do that. What it can do is toggle if it stays on top of other windows. Left click the mouse on the Note to make sure it's the "active window", then Control-Right Click the mouse on the window. It should pop up a tool tip telling you if Topmost is ON or OFF now. The tooltip only shows briefly as once you are used to it you'll just look for the word ON or OFF.

    You might try this freeware:

If it can't control it then there's probably no good way.
