How to stop software auto launch

Silly question but every time i plug my wireless broadband in the software auto launches. what would be the simplest way to prevent this? as i am running windows developer preview and it auto connects without the use of the wireless software

p.s this isn't a question relating to programs that launch automatically at windows start-up

    Cheers Guys/Gals :)

Is there a option in the software to turn it off?
Check to see if it set to "connect automatically when this network is in range" look at Option one step 1 thur 4 it will show you how to get there. Wireless Network Profile - Backup and Restore

Should have put a little more information in my post the software in question is for Pre Paid Wireless Broadband not Wi-Fi Networks.

Every time i plug in the wireless dongle windows automatically connects it which is what i want, but the program feels the need to launch regardless even though with windows connecting it automatically it wont connect through the software.

Alas i don't believe i can uninstall the software while leaving the drives intact so what i was wanting to do is prevent the software from ever launching automatically. As you can see in the below image it doesn't launch at start up so there is no background process running for it. i have also checked ms config.

I do still need to be able to use the software to check data balance and usage.

I know zero, nada, gar nichts about your wireless software, but...

    How about:
    | type MSCONFIG | STARTUP tab

Do you see an entry there related to your wifi? If Yes, then uncheck it.

Don't worry, that doesn't remove or disable but does stop the sw from starting at startup time.

Thanks for the response karlsnooks but as i stated this is not an msconfig related question its more of an auto launch scenario when the device gets plugged in alas it seems no one can help.

You might try uninstalling the software; in all likelihood the drivers won't be affected by this and your 3G stick will continue to work just fine. Even if it should turn out not to, you can just reinstall the software. But I do think this might solve your issue for good.
