    incomplete removal of "installed" software

I thought I had properly removed a piece of software, LibreOffice 3.3, But the control panel says it is still there. When I try to uninstall it says it cannot find it. Also, Libreoffice 3.4 will not install because of this. Anyone have a useful suggestion as to how to solve?

    Thanks in advance.

If I were stupid enough to not use the uninstaller - were it available -- I would have been tpp stupid to find you.

You know Mike, a little bit of courtesy would be greatly appreciated regarding your treatment of those forum members who are donating their time and energy to help you.

There are a number of different ways to uninstall or delete software, and you can use some or all of them. You can do a System Restore to the point just before installing the software, you can go to Programs and Features and uninstall/delete the software there, (if you haven't already), followed by a mechanical search of your C: drive for any remnants that the "uninstall process" left behind. You can go to LibreOffice tech support to see what their options for removal are. You can also use some of the 3rd party apps available for such purpose. I would give you more information, but clearly you're so clever you don't need any additional help.
