    Is there a way to switch my DirectX version?


    i have problems in some games. they require directx 9.0c . i already downloaded the directx 9. unfortunately, the same problem occurs. they can't detect my directX. i ownder if i can switch my directx version.

    The version of DirectX you can run is determined by the video card you have. Yours can support up to Directx 11 so yes you can.

    As far as I know you can only have Direct X 11 under Windows 7. I don't think there is a method to uninstall it and install an older version.

    DX11 is backwards compatible.

    Perhaps your issues are related to outdated video card drivers??

    You can always see what version of DirectX you are running, and modify settings by :.

    To find what version of DirectX you're running, open start menu and type dxdiag at the search box and press enter.

    yeah i know the dxdiag thing. but i want to know if i can switch my DX version

    Switching your version of DirectX would be pointless.
    Download, and run this: https://www.microsoft.com/download/e...ylang=en&id=35

    If your games still do not work, then those games are BROKEN.
    Switching DirectX versions will not fix them.

    The only way I know: format c: followed by a fresh Windows XP installation.
    I'd rather check the Game producers for updated patches
