You're welcome. Also if you have Android phone you can also try QtADB.
Since you don't have a Smart Phone like the others, possibly you could help me better. I have a new phone, but not a smart phone. It is a Samsung Haven. I am just not sure exactly what I am doing is the main problem. I want to make an MP3 file for a ringtone and DL to my phone. I know how to get the MP3 file. I have the USB cable from my PC to my phone. Is that called a "firewire"? What do I need to do to get the file from my PC to my phone. This is where I am lost. Your help is greatly appreciated.
If you're using Verizon, your options may be very limited. Smartphones can generally have their memory and SD card "mounted" in Windows to be seen as disk drives. That allows simple drag and drop. Other phones require a lot more work -- and some simply can't do it.
If your phone allows texting, you can attach an mp3 file to a text message and send it to your cell number. Then, when you get the text on your phone, there is typically an option that allows you to save the attachment as a ringtone.
If that is not permitted on your phone, there are generally only two other options. First, you can purchase ringtones from Verizon (but probably NOT from others). Second, you can hack the SW on the phone to allow you to mount the memory as a filesystem. I'm not going to comment on HOW to do the second because that is against forum policy.
I don't think that he will see there because the phone doesn't have OS and if there is no option to mount SD Card and use it as Data Storage.
I Googled Samsung Heaven only after posting. Stalker, I'm afraid you are right. We have to find something else.

Hi All -- I got home and hooked my phone to the PC and nothing showed in Windows Explorer. Like you said, mine won't do that. I would like to be able to load my own ringtone, but it isn't that big a deal. Thanks,
