    Paragon Automatic SSD Alingment

I plan to install an SSD as my system drive and use Paragon to back up and restore.

Does anyone know if the Paragon Backup & Recovery 2011 (Advanced) Free (English) edition will automatically align SSD partition when it restores from an archive? The paid edition does this but am not sure about the Free edition.

    Thank you.

i'm not 100% sure, but i don't think it does.

it doesn't mention the feature at all on the product website, and i also downloaded the user manual and searched for 'align' and got no hits.

The paid edition CAN do this? Are you sure??

I wish I could find a free alternative to Paragon's alignment tool...I think it's a ripoff making you have to pay $30 for a tool you'll only ever use once or twice...

If an SSD partition is properly aligned when the image is made, is it a known fact that a restore of that image will NOT be aligned properly by default?

I'm just asking. Maybe or maybe not depending on certain circumstances?

No, I don't know that. According to the Paragon site, the paid version will automatically do the alignment. The free 2011 version description makes no mention of it.
