    Adobe Illustrator shuts down immediately-please help!


    As soon as I open Illustrator, it shuts down. I have read several threads that mention this problem, and how to search error logs for the codes, which I have done, but none of the threads mention a fix for the problem. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I just installed CS5 and am really looking forward to using Illustrator (the main reason for my getting CS5 in the first place).

    This may or may not help.

    Adobe - Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool

    I'd suggest running the Adobe cleaner tool and if necessary try reinstalling your Adobe software.
