    Where are default audio files for Live Messenger stored in Win7 64?

    Hi, thanks for the link, but the audio files are not located where they are claimed to be:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Messenger

    I've been looking all over for them. I'm wanting to change the received message sound to be what the contact log-in sound is.

    I believe they are here:

    C:\users\(User Name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Messenger\(Email Address)\ObjectStore\SignatureSounds

    They are not common audio files though. A Guy

    To bad that they are encrypted and cannot be selected to use though.

    That sucks. They used to be wav files, I think. I was able to select and customize them the previous time I installed Messenger, which would've been maybe a year ago.
