    Windows SDK install failure


    I am in kind of a hurry starting up my account as I am not able to install the Windows SDK, I have previously installed and uninstalled it before but I need to reinstall it now and I got this error while the install was on

    Installation of the "Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7" product has reported the following error: Please refer to Samples\Setup\HTML\ConfigDetails.htm document for further information.

    Um, have you? Any chance we can get your system specs if you havent and the configdetails file?

    Have you searched for the filename? ConfigDetails.htm

    I tried a install with an older SDK installer, I got another error message
    Code:
    Installation of the "Application Verifier" product has reported the following error: Fatal error during installation.
    Can't find the file, sorry.

    You can keep "trying" things or re-install clean and start with a fresh clean system.

Failure to install windows update

I tried to install an urgent Windows update but got error code 80070002. Tried to fix problem with Microsoft Fix It, but all it did was to change the error code to 80246007 the next time I tried to install the update. Any thoughts on how to rectify this?
