Stop UAC Prompts For Auto Start App

I use D3DOverrider, and I have it set to start with Windows. The problem is that UAC prompts me to allow it on every startup. How do I give it the privileges it needs for UAC to leave it alone?

Hello Oubadah, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You could use the tutorial below to create a elevated shortcut of this program to use to run at startup as a task instead without getting a UAC prompt for administrator accounts only. A standard user account will still get a UAC prompt.

    Hope this helps,

I spoke too soon - after a few boots it stopped working. So I did it the long way with the shortcut, but that didn't work at all. That way doesn't make sense to me either... looks like you're making a task, then making a shortcut to that task, then making another task to launch the shortcut on startup? Maybe I misunderstand...

Yeah, that's correct. It's a bit of a workaround to get it to work, but it usually works. You might start over to see if it may work this time in case some mistake may have been made.
