Well the problem with that 1.2MB was that after download and run mobilitycatalyst.exe, it stucks with 30MB downloaded, I still believe the driver package was updated as Driver Package version shows 8.722, but don't know why it won't show in device manager driver version.

OK, anyway now I have a better Control centre at least )))
Have to go, now. Thank you all, this seems to be the greatest forum, as many problems are solved here, with lots of information.
Ok if everything works fine than this is not a problem :)

OK, the man was right, individual download downloads 11_mobility_vista_win7_32-64_ccc.exe, and utility downloads 11_mobility_vista_win7_32-64_dd_ccc.exe, couldn't see the difference at first, the two "dd" supposed to mean display drivers and there is also difference in file size as well first is 87MB second is 98MB the ten MB differnce must be those "dd"s. So I have only downloaded the software update, not the drivers themselves, anybody knows where to get those 10MB drivers, utility won't dowload it, gives download success at 32MB, whereas the file size is 98MB.

GianniDPC, man you had to tell this, but you prefer wait and watch what happens like an old wise indian )))))

But the most amazing thing is that AMD won't put that 11_mobility_vista_win7_32-64_dd_ccc.exe file for manual download as well, wonder why not?

after running the ATIMCDnld nothing happens, windows ask permission to make changes, clicked on YES, nothing happens then ))

That is a good question, why aren't they making the display drivers available separately?

But I gather that you've been using a download manager of some kind, could you try completely disabling it and just running the 1.2MB utility to see if it'll fetch the whole 98MB this time?

OK, guys, whatever, I just googled 11 11 ATI catalyst mobility drivers, and have downloaded a file, 98.5 MB the same size with "dd" letters, when unpacked the difference was that it had "Drivers" folder in Package, the only difference is the file name won't have "mobility" on it, tried to download another file supposed to have all the drivers inside, for 32 and 64 bit versions, size was 164MB, downloaded the 85%, and the f.... file hosting won't give it. Anyway I run the 98MB file, it would do the same installation as before, and probably added the HDMI audio drivers, I suppose the update is actually means update of those audio drivers not the display drivers, and probably the current version of my drivers is the latest. But if anyone can tell where I can download this file "11_11_mobility_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe" please let know. Well I found every version of this, but one time it is mobility missing, another it is 32 bit, another had no dd, ocl etc..... This really has eaten my head, just wonder how is this possible to find everything, but not exactly what you need.
11_11_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe now I have this file, but not one with mobility word on it )))) getting crazy

    I found it.

Since AMD's website is useless in this case, I started looking for alternate download sources. There's a forum that makes them available here: ATi Catalyst Mobility 11.11 display drivers for notebook computers (15/11/2011)

Download links are provided here (as linked to in the above post on the external forum): Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

Let me know if this works :)
