Game applications are freezing when I execute them...

    Hey guys,
Since I got my laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit) about one year ago, there was something strange with some of my games. Everytime I try to run them the first time once my laptop booted up, nothing happens, so I always have to look into the task manager, kill the process (the CPU load is always 00, the RAM stucks somewhere around 2000 K), and re-run the game, then it works.
In that time I got no problem with that (though it was a bit annoying), but recently, some of my old games donīt run even after more trials. The process is freezing everytime, and I donīt understand why. Now Iīd like to solve that problem. Has anyone got a solution for me?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Bennington.

Make sure you have all important Windows updates installed (also the compatability updates on the optional side). This is important to ensure compatability.

How old are your games? Do you need to run them in compatability mode? Try this from the Microsoft website: Make older programs run in this version of Windows

Do you have the latest drivers installed (especially the graphics driver)? You can get drivers manually, but if you don't know how, let me know and I will show you how to do it, or you can get them automatically via this method (from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...-your-hardware):

You can check Windows Update at any time to see if it found new drivers and icons for your hardware, especially if you recently installed a new device. If you want to have Windows Update automatically check for the latest drivers and icons, here's how:
    1. Open Devices and Printers by clicking the Start button , and then, on the Start menu, clicking Devices and Printers.
    2. Right-click the name of your computer, and then click Device installation settings.
    3. Click Yes, do this automatically (recommended), and then click Save changes. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
If Yes is already selected, click Cancel to close the dialog box.
If you let Windows automatically download drivers and information about your devices, your hardware is more likely to work properly.
