How to install KOHA ?

Hello Friends :)
Again it is a problem of a person closely related to me. Our librarian is on the verge of his promotion. The chancellors nominee of the experts panel is one of the advocates of the free software community, so the librarian wants (actually needs) to set up the library system into KOHA. He found me as an enthusiast, but I failed.

If anybody could help us anything to install it, whether in windows or in linux, we would be highly obliged . What we want is to know
The list of programs to install first to install it.
What is the process to install the program, after the environment is ready.

Yes, I have visited those links already, downloaded all the things as informed, but failed to install Koha

Koha on Windows what about this one Arc ? have you installed the Apache server, perl etc then finally the win32 installer ? thats about as far as I can go I'm very sorry about that Arc

The instructions look like what the procedure I have followed, but I will have another try on it, will try to follow exactly what they have said.
