There was nothing wrong with Torrent. The problem was mainly with the user (me).

I think I finally have a handle on using Torrent. Getting .torrent files was the main issue.

    Once I found [link removed]
I can get most any torrent file I want. Definitely Firefox is easier to use than IE.

Anyway thanks for all the help.

Just be aware that torrent files from sites like [removed] quite often gives you more than you are looking for (viruses, malware) Make sure that you scan anything you download with your AV program ...

TBH guys, I have used u Torrent for about five years with no problems.
I have updated to 3.1 and the whole thing is now so difficult, for me, to operate.
The show of torrents d/L and seeding keeps disappearing if I click on stuff available in the sidebar.
Check the "Active" bit on the sidebar and see if it registers anything ie "1". If it does then click it and it should make the torrents progress appear..

Thanks Tews, I never download software from any P2P programs. I had no idea that site was an illegal site. It was given to me by a friend.

Chippychap I downloaded and installed the BitTorrent from the free programs list in this forum and it seems to work great. I had tried other versions and this has been the best one I have found.
