    Windows 7 64 and older S/W

If I upgrade to windows 7 will ALL my software still run?

My wife got a laptop and 1 of her CBT (Computer Based Traiing) Demos for job hunting does not work with Windows 7 64.

    Hello Bill,

You might see if you may be able to run the program in compatibility mode with whatever older version of Windows selected the program was written for.

    Hope this helps,

If it is a 16 bit program you may have to use DosBox or XPMode to run it. 32 bit Windows has emulation for 16 bit programs built in. But 64 bit Windows only has emulation for 32 bit programs. If it ran on 32 bit W7 but not 64 bit, chances are it's a 16 bit app.

All of the S/W in question now runs fine with Vista Home 32?

    Bill,

It sounds like the issue is as MilesAhead posted above. All of the software will probably run in Windows 7 32-bit as well. Just not in a 64-bit Windows it seems.
