Thanks you guys! I needed you both b/c I didn't know how to find the accessories folder in order to put the tool there. I learned something today. This was the first time I've gone to this forum and it's been a great experience. Yippee. Have a great day.

When SNIPPING TOOL becomes unpinned from the TASKBAR or START MENU, for whatever reason, you can usually find the program in the WINDOWS/SYSTEM32 folder.

Right click on it to repin to START MENU or TASKBAR.

Also, right click and copy. Then paste - a copy of the program - onto DESKTOP or into a FOLDER you find convenient.

In that way you can always start SNIPPING TOOL from your convenient location and REPIN from your convenient location "without having to go all old-school quasi-DOS find the program buried in a sub-directory folder."

    doesnt work

    Infinite said:
Snipping tool should be here: C:\Windows\System32\SnippingTool.exe.

If not, download this zip file. De-extract the zip and drag Snipping Tool.exe into system32 and then Right Click on it and chose Create Shortcut (if you already have a SnippingTool.exe in system32, you do not need to use my one). On the dialogue press Yes, drag it into Accessories in the Start Menu

Also try going to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off > and select Tablet PC Components.
I did everything you said but none worked even the download it doesnt work i tried downloading it and making a shortcut but it never worked when i opened it it doesnt open anything. Pls help. I use 64 bit computer.

I dowloaded the archive and extracted the file into system32 folder, but when I click on the exe file, nothing happens. Any suggestions?

I followed your instructions. But when I run the program, nothing happens. Is this program compatible with Windows 7 Home Basic version?

Home Basic doesn't come with snipping tool, so just putting that file in that location won't work.

I use the free version of this,

Screenpresso: The Ultimate Screen Capture Tool for Windows

I like it better than the snipping tool in windows myself.
