I'd point this out to you. Having used it since early beta, it's very stable and powerful.
tweak before you install.I use vlite on windows 7,removes lots of things you don't need.Runs alot faster and much smaller install size.Just read up before you remove components or disable services as it can cause problems and conflicts.
Thanks to the tutorials in this forum I don't use any tweaking software.
yes Opus is perfectly stable, but there are a few features that don't work. for example, the Replace Explorer function is busted. the latest builds detect Windows 7 and don't even let you enable it. also the double click on desktop to launch is not currently working.
basically any of these deep hooks are not accessible, but on a whole, the app runs great.
the developers plan to release a free patch for Windows 7 users by the time it goes retail in October.
yeah, do not tweak windows 7, indeed it is built by a concept of customization and tweaking.
Ultimate Windows Tweaker 2.0 "free and prob the best"
TweakNow PowerPack 2009 1.6.4 "free"
EnhanceMySe7en 1.5.1 "free"
Windows 7 Manager 1.1.3 "paid"
7Tweak Pro 1.2.1 "paid app now"
wouldent touch any other app other then these. the last 3 i wouldent recommend but are wroth at least trying. everything done by these programs can be done in regedit.
also i highly recommend you do not run any registry cleaners from any of them as i have experience bad results on every format of win 7 after cleaning the registry such as loss of default apps and other numerous issues.
