Whats best ap for windows? Free or commerical.
Whats best ap for windows? Free or commerical.
I would have thought it a subjective point, there are good freeware and commercial programs.
Guess it depends what you're burning (iso, music, dox, video, etc)
UltraIso does everything which I could really need.
Thanks. Btw, im sorry asking these stupid questions, but i have been using LInux for six years and just started to use windows again after many years. Feeling such a N00b at the moment :P
i don't like the use of the word 'best' either - i think it's better to ask for 'favourite'.
i like ashampoo burning studio - it does everything i want it to do.
current version is 11 - not free
(i still use version 10, as it does what i want and i'm too tight to pay the upgrade fee)
*edit* i see version 10 is still for sale, and $10 cheaper than version 11 */edit*
old version 6 - free, and still very useful, just looks a bit dated
Ashampoo is decent too, but I felt the latter versions were too bloated with 'numpty' features...
that's partly why i haven't upgraded to version 11 - who needs facebook integration in a cd burner, for pete's sake?
Agree 100%... I think I have v9 somewhere, after that point it seemed to become a bit daft...
Then there's the problem with them spamming their customers too...
yeah, but it was easy enough to unsubscribe, as i recall.
I vaguely remember having to specifically block a port in my firewall to stop their "pop up" spam. I believe it was something to do with an element of some of their program builds which install an "Ashampoo Channel" alongside the software - allowing them to send through special offers and such like... I know it really got on my goat and put me off them as a responsible developer...
