You need to select Registry menu from CCleaner's main screen. Click scan for issues button then fix selected issues. It's pretty straightforward.

To change your locale you need to go to Control Panel. Type 'language' in the search box and you will see the menu to do it.

    Recuva! Download Recuva 1.42.544 - FileHippo.com

Chances are, your files have been overwritten since they were located in My Documents. So take a deep breath, and pray.

    Generic advice -

If you do not have knowledge of the registry, then you would probably be better off leaving it alone, and definitely not placing blind trust in a program to do the job for you.

To advise anyone that a "Registry Cleaner" works, and that it will fix or speed up their machine {or all the other nonsense that is often propagated about these things} can mislead people.

Should you decide to go ahead -

    Make sure you have
1.a current System Restore point created.
2.a recent "Back up" of your computer- preferably to an external HD.

Yes but just as I said, it could've been overwritten several times. C: drive is so fast-moving sometimes and it would be unavoidable. That's why people advise to put your data on D: or E:. In other words, specific data-only partition.

    Good luck retrieving your data!
