What no longer shows up , Norton? If you are speaking of Norton, you can remove extensions by using Ccleaner. I'm uncertain of exactly what Norton detects?

Have you spoken to Norton "Chat" to help resolve your problem.
We have no problem with Symantec, nor do we have Norton. We believe you have directed this question in error; to the wrong person. This thread is somewhat confusing over this issue. It really is not anything complex.
I am well aware of Symantec and Norton. Nothing further to add.
Was, would be more appropriate. They've been slipping the past few years, and now that their source code is out in the wild, I wouldn't trust their software much anymore for now. Time will tell, but there are plenty of other better and cheaper apps out there for the business side. Norton is their consumer category, and some of their products have scored will recently, but we aren't discussing those here.
If you want a paid app in the business sector, ESET stands at the top.
Sorry to dissapoint you, but we have Endpoint, "A commercial application." Furthermore, this is second tier military application. Don't believe everything you read, test the waters. Information, or dis-information is a great role player in the 'security' game. Endpoint has not shown any signs of weakness other than the Russian hackers whom tried to bribe Symantec, they say!
I don't believe everything I read. I do however, believe the several trusted and respected, unbiased testing sites that blast Symantec. Add that to my own personal experience of Symantec allowing malware in that ESET detected, and I'm confident I am protecting my company's network. Symantec had it's day...and that day has passed. They are the Kodak of the AV world.
If you honestly believe what you are telling me, then you didn't do your due diligence in choosing your AV solution.
