Microsoft Data Access Error

I tried installing a trial version of Living Cookbook on my desktop computer and it would not run. The following errors popped up. I installed the same program on my Laptop with the same windows 7 64bit configuration as my desktop and it ran fine. The only difference between the 2 computers is the laptop has Windows 7 home premium and my desktop has Windows 7 professional. Both computers have been fully updated with the latest Microsoft updates and are Malware and virus free. I don't know why the desktop is giving me this error when the laptop works fine. I have tried running this in Administrator mode, in window xp compatible mode all with same results. It ran with no configurations on my laptop.
I Googled MDAC 2.6 and all versions seem to be for XP systems. Again what ever is on my laptop doesn’t seem to be on my desktop.
I believe this is a System problem not a software problem, so I am posting this to see if any of you Great Windows 7 Gurus have any suggestion?

Hi Reducky, just wondered if you solved this problem as I am getting exactly te same error only in my case LC runs on my desktop under XP but not on my Laptop under W7.

The final solution to all my software installation issues was to restore my Windows 7 back to its (OEM) original state. Once I did this, all the problems I had experienced with many of my software programs, including Living Cookbook, went away. I really think my problem occurred by multitasking and/or multi-installing software all at once. OR.. I wasn't paying close enough attention to the software questions that were popping up. On my "clean install", I installed each program one at at time and before anything I would reboot and run that software just to see that it worked, then I would go one to the next program. This was time consuming, but everything installed perfectly and its been months without any glitches or malfunctions. I really resented having to restore my system back to factory OEM, but now that the aggravation and headaches are gone, I am finally very happy with Windows 7. Hope this helps.
