Don't understand what Intel(R) WIDi software is on new laptop

I just purchased a new HP Pavilion Laptop and it has a software program I have never hear of. I searched to find out info but just not sure what it is. Can someone explain it for me and if I need to install it or not. Thank you for any help.

Could you please post a screen shot of the actual program in question?

I has to be installed. I did not want to install it if I did not need it. I really do not know how I could send a screen shot. Guess I will just leave it alone for a while till I can figure out what it is for. Thank you though for the fast reply. I love this forum, I have already received so much info since I joined. :)

You don't have to install that program but here's a tutorial on posting a screenshot.

Look at this link and then click on the release notes pdf link. Basically it's for connecting to a tv wirelessly. Provided that the TV is setup for wireless. I don't use it
