    vlc

I have been using the vlc 1.1.10 properly. But when I upgraded to vlc 1.1.11 windows started defending vlc. I tried reinstalling vlc 1.1.10 also after removing the latest version, but still vlc is not working properly as I used before. And this problem is not with my friends' systems. Please help!

What do you mean by "defending"?

I want to mean Defending as windows is not allowing to run properly. Please try bear the sense of 'not working' properly if I am using inappropriate word/term.

Not working properly can mean a lot of things. Are you getting an error window when you try to open the program, or is it some other problem with it running after being opened? If you are getting a specific error dialog, then please attach a screenshot of it to your next post.

    Yes error report do come.
First report is "VLC has crashed. Do you want to send a bug report to the developers team?- YES/NO " I click YES and next report is "There was an error while connecting to the FTP server. Thanks a lot for the help anyway."
These two report comes whenever I open VLC.

And, when I click on another running programme VLC doesn't automatically minimize. VLC dominate the whole screen even when I click on any other running programme.

    Thanks !

I do not know exactly what the problem is, but it sounds as though something went awry, either in uninstalling the older version, or installing the newer one. I would suggest downloading and installing Revo Uninstaller Pro, if you don't already have it:

Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

Use this to uninstall VLC, instead of Programs And Features, because during the trial period, after running the Windows uninstaller, it then will find all of the registry keys related to it and will remove them, so that hopefully no trace of the installation is left. Then try installing it again and see what happens. If the problem returns, then it must come from somewhere else, but I don't know where. Whether the problem continues or not, post your result here, so that we can know if it worked or not, so that maybe someone else might step in with additional advice.
