I should be totally updated here at the present time since I'm always working on some new project!
Having the direct links posted here will always be a help while I keep the "wl-customsetup.exe" file onhand for checking on things. If you already have a WLM account you simply bring down the "more" menu for the download link seen there for extras which will bring up the download and install options you simply check off.
Microsoft should include installed Live programs in the Windows Automatic Update catalog >.<
Thanks though!
Give it some time. All this started off as a beta and is now starting to see growth. Having separate options and not simply automatic updates for various things allows for user customization which seems to be the main intent.
My Kaspersky Internet Security detects Windows Live Messenger as "legal software that can be used by criminals bla bla bla". Is it safe to ignore it? I installed it yesterday. I haven't even used it to chat.
"legal software that can be used by criminals" eh? yes just ignore it. If the installer is signed by microsoft then its safe.
I've got a fresh install of Windows 7 x64 on a formatted hard drive and when I install the latest version of live essentials from the link provided I get the error message 0x80072ee6.
I have tried registering the MSXML dll and flushing the DNS cache which are two solutions suggested on other forums but neither seems to make any difference... has anyone else seen this? and anyone got any ideas how to fix it?
Its so frustrating, just when I thought Microsoft had released a stable, quick, functional OS!
