How about Driver Max? Driver update - Use DriverMax to update all your Windows PC drivers Rich46 suggested it.
Also Slim Drivers. Both check for newer versions of drivers installed on your system
SlimDrivers DriverUpdate - Update Drivers for Windows 7, XP, and Vista
Hiyya Gary yep mate tried the Slim Drivers the only thing with the free version is you have to do one driver a ta time and they are pretty persistent with their ads too. Otherwise it was good especially when they downloaded the Intel ones some of the others I thought twice about downloading as I wasn't so sure they were the genuine article if you get my frift.
Drivermax though I might give that a burl:)
I've been using TEncoder on and off for a while. This is a free encoder that uses either MenCoder or FFMPeg video encoder. I just updated to 3.0. The latest version has a cool CPU Meter. Now I don't have to run Core Temp in the corner to watch the CPU load. The program can process files in batch. Also it's great if you want to mux to a different container while just processing audio. Say you have MKV with DTS audio and want to output MP4 with AAC audio. TEncoder just zips thorugh processing in one pass(two pass mode is optional.)
Maybe not for every video job. But definitely one to have in the toolbox.

I've been using f.lux for a while, it is probably one of the best programs I've ever used. It's so convenient and best of all its free (yeah kinda point of the thread )

Or wake up ready to write down the Next Great Idea, and get blinded by your computer screen?
During the day, computer screens look good—they're designed to look like the sun. But, at 9PM, 10PM, or 3AM, you probably shouldn't be looking at the sun.
f.lux
f.lux fixes this: it makes the color of your computer's display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day.
It's even possible that you're staying up too late because of your computer. You could use f.lux because it makes you sleep better, or you could just use it just because it makes your computer look better.
That f.lux application is a real eye-saver.From the very first 18 hours ,you ll know, you did well installing it.Thanks for the hint,double-really helpful thread.Keep up...

WizTree is a disk space usage analyzer for Windows. What distinguishes it from other utilities of that type is NTFS only compatibility. The reason is it uses the MFTs on NTFS file system to get the disk usage info lightning quick.
On my Windows PC (the one shown in my specs) I think it took 7 seconds to gather and display the disk usage information for drive C:, a 340 GB partition. It's free/donation ware and comes in installed and portable versions.
One bit of confusion, it has an option for Explorer Context Menu. Naturally I thought I would right click a drive and see WizTree in the context menu. But it's the other way around. If you right click a file or folder in the WizTree display the Explorer context menu commands will be visible, if that option is enabled.
A spell checker for IE and several word processors.
Be careful of unwanted downloads with it.
