I would believe going from a clean install to another clean install would be okay, but you won't know until you tried. I would believe there is programming inside the converter to tell the difference between a purchase, and a promo.

Moving the system clock back to install is a fine line, but I'm leaning with mjf. It was noted on the download page that there wouldn't be any upgrades so it would be as long as you use it trial, but then wouldn't one worry about security?

See this page, scroll down to License Code: Online Support Center for WinX DVD Ripper and Video Converter Software There's a couple of FAQS there that might help clear the air especially the 5th one down.
Then check the Technical Tab for general help.

I got poking around Winx's site....
Here's something interesting if you have an iPhone there is a pop-up "New Years has gone, but the deal is still valid" just click on enter: Top Rated iPhone iPad Video Software Available for FREE! WinX iPhone iPad Video Pack It was a New Years Promo, but they're still giving it away.

Then check out Digiarty Promotion there are two unlimited promos one for DVD Authoring, and a YouTube Downloader to the right.

Just a heads up, I see fences on that list. Fences no longer has a free version and only has a trial version and is now a paid only product.

    Thank you Miguel.

Fences has been removed from the list now. To bad it's no longer free.

From my recollection, Stardock has NEVER given anything away for free "Per Se". I stopped using their stuff years ago, first of all most if not all of their stuff is boatware and second anything they do give away for "free" is limited in it's function, they keep the best options out so they can nag you to buy the full version, it's the old "dangle the carrot in front of the donkey trick".

I tried fences and was not impressed at all, anyone with half a brain can get the same results by designing a desktop background that would act as a border(s) to hold your icons in certain places, I don't really need a piece of bloatware to do it for me.

Most of what Stardock offers for Windows customization and charges for, alternatives can be made and found for free in any decent Windows customization forum(s).

I've been running the free version of Objectdoc for over a year now. It is limited but there is no nag.

So Kado mate this is like a really animated Stardock8 function? I have Stardock8 running at the moment on my 8 machine and am pretty fed up with the reminders to pay for it when I did it a long time ago. Plus on start up I get this window of Modern Mix that I don't seem to be able to stop unless I uninstall it but I don't want to do that in case it affects the Stardock8..
