Has anyone come across this uninstaller it has several tools and I have had a but of a play in it on the tester and the uninstaller works very much like the Revo.

But before I get into it for any longer would like to know if it kosher.

I've been using this for at least a couple of years and had no problems with it. I only use it to uninstall and don't use the other tools. I changed from Revo because the free version didn't remove all the x64 bits. This does and as I have said I've had no problems with it, Used it on Win 7, 8 and now 8.1 all x64.

I haven't used it John but aside from the uninstall/monitored install functions, it does nothing important.

    Hi there
I suppose it depends on what type of programs you install on your machines etc.

I'm not a great fan of these sorts of things like Registry cleaners, un-installers, optimise your system wizards etc. My view is that in any case take a backup before installing anything or making system changes - then it's easy to restore if the changes don't work or the program doesn't un-install properly -- most PROPER windows programs should uninstall decently anyway --if you want to install software that doesn't adhere to proper windows programming - then that's up to you.

I've rarely found a need for anything other than the normal "Control Panel ==>Programs and features" necessary - and on the rare occasion I've needed to do something I've just restored an earlier image - Image on SSD restored to SSD on system via USB3 port takes around 10 mins - so hardly a waste of time.

    Cheers

Sorry late reply Ok looks ok to me I did have a look at the other features as you say nothing special. I juts find that the Windows feature and even Revo doesn't really get rid of stubborn stuff like some of the AVG, Symantec and those wretched bar things you miss sometimes usually I end up digging then out of the registry manually. This one did find one I "planted" on the tester machine which I usually do what I just put down so was impressed.

By the by I don't know if anyone has noticed the new Partition Wizard (another favourite) has new tools for recovery etc Best Free Partition Manager Freeware and free partition magic for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista and Windows XP 32 bit & 64 bit. MiniTool Free Partition Manager Software Home Edition.

I have used that quite a bit, I didn't want to buy a number Revo Pro key (I have 2 now already) I use it on my Windows 8.1 and also in VMware for Windows 7 installs and I have not had any issues at all.

I have the program on my systems and it does work very well removing every last trace in the registry of the program. It is kosher and gets 5 stars for me John.

    How about this one?

It's an All-in-One type I guess including a 'virtual' or 'sandbox' . Sorry, I'm not too computer smart but am always reading in the forum about 'virtual' or 'sandbox' so when I saw this I thought I'd ask about it.

A sandbox is like running a program in a very restrictive environment, a virtual machine provides a sandbox environment, since the host machine (the real one) and the virtual emulated one are totally separate.
