Sooo, no one's gonna actually comment on the program I asked about?
The screenshot was so small to read and there was no link ot the program to check it out.
It was this one mate ToolWiz Software what did catch my eye was the photo tool but again I am not into this sort of stuff unless it gets the nod from members like you:)

Tool Wiz seems to be an all-in-one-fixer-upper for Windows. It has two potentially damaging features, a Registry cleaner and Duplicate file finder. It also come from China so who knows what gets installed with it or if the program itself is spyware? c|NET likes it, so that's not good in my opinion.

Thanks guys. @John, I'm too chicken to install something unless I get opinions on it, that's why I asked, I have high regard for this board. I'm too old & not PC smart enough to waste my energy by taking offense. Thanks for posting the link, something else I need to learn.
@Gary, the Registry scares the beejeebies (sp?) out of me, never mess with it. And as for Dup. finder, that again spooks me too, & both of those are in CCleaner which I do have. I was a bit concerned myself about it being from China but seems like I've seen other programs from there that have a 'green light' from the board. ?? I learned quite a while ago not to rely on cNet.

grits if you are wary of the registry want to you can back it up in case things go pear shaped with it.

Start > type regedit > right click on the blue link > run as admin > left click on File > click on export and put it anywhere you like I keep two copies one will do in documents - just name it REG BACKUP and the date if you like but anything that distinguishes it fro the other stuff.
Depending on the order of the pics go from REG1 to REG2 to REG5
Yes they loaded in the wrong order so go top > bottom > middle:)

I'm lazy. I just make an image of the entire system. It takes only 8-10 minutes, depending on the phase of the moon or something equally ridiculous, about the time it takes to get a snack or make a pit stop.

Yes well so do I on a regular weekly and on cal basis but nothing beats a reg backup onto a doc or even a stick.
I do this particularly straight after an install and when things have quietened down so I have at least three form of reg backup but I ma just pedantic after wrecking it a few times.

brink can you add greenshot screenshot tool to this list? here's a feature list

    • allows you to save instantly to a directory of your choosing with many options for automatic file naming.
    • uploading to imgur, pisca, dropbox, photobucket, flickr, and box and copying the link to your clipboard.
    • full screen, window, or custom selection of areas
    • quick image editor for adding text, bluring private information, and drawing arrows
    • options to save as many file formats
    • free and open source

i think that's a clear enough description, i use it every day. it surely beats the pants off off pasting into paint :)
