Netspeed Monitor download links are dead

Yes I use that on my desktops and have doen for some time but I find it difficult if not impossible to run on my laptops.
I can't even download it, I just get file not found errors.
Do you still have the install? Could you mirror it?
Mmm I just tried that link and I get to the Windows 64bit download and then it baulks perhaps it has gone down the gurgler?? or is temporarily out of action as mentioned in the reply to the link.

Mind you I did get it to download from here Download NetSpeedMonitor my security (Kaspersky) rants and raves about it but that probably is because I have high check levels set.

PS Just tried it and it only supports 32bit systems

The developer seems to have fallen off the map. Twitter, Facebook, everything. Site itself doesnt seem to have been updated since '11.

    Anyone know of any alternatives?

Thank you. I've updated the list to use the downloads from Softpedia below instead. :)

Yep looks like it - shame really as it was good to a point my desktop versions still work and I did a clean install just two months ago and it was alright then

As for other stuff there are some but they need starting up each time instead of having a real time readout like netspeed has, though I did fid this but haven't tried any yet The Top 20 Free Network Monitoring and Analysis Tools for Sys Admins

For those using their Windows Phone reading e-book, there's also an e-book management call "Calibre" for PC Desktop, running x64bit and x32bit too.

Yes calibre is an excellent program. I'm surprised it's not already on the list.

    Another vote for calibre.

(Btw, calibre is spelled with a lower case c.)

I looked at their website, you are correct but is very ungrammar like, I know I shouldn't be saying this with my grammar problems

I always thought a product name or service had to be capitalized. Comcast, Microsoft, MiniTool Partition Wizard, Macrium Reflect, Microsoft Works and so on. Unless you are texting of course then you can throw out all the grammar rules out the door.

Kovid Goyal is the owner and principal programmer of caliber and he can spell it however he wants (he does get teased about it from time to time over on the calibre forums at mobileread.com)
